Meet Indu
I’ve lived in Los Altos Hills for more than 26 years — as a mother, wife, caregiver, schoolteacher, historic home preserver, business owner, mountain climber, writer, and community advocate.
I’m proud to serve as a Los Altos Hills County Fire District Commissioner. I’ve never been interested in collecting titles. I believe in showing up, doing the work, and being prepared when our community needs it. My connection to this community began long before public service — when my children were younger, our home became a gathering place for school robotics, tinkering, music jams, and poetry cafés. Those years taught me something I still believe today: strong communities are built when people open their doors, share their time and talents, and look out for one another.
